Our Savonnerie Rugs are inspired by the ornamental carpets made in 17th Century Paris by the prestigious Savonnerie Manufactory. Made popular by King Louis XIII, Savonnerie rugs became the carpet of choice under the French crown thereafter. These pile rugs are fine in texture and display decorative floral designs adorned with playful elements such as leafy motifs, baskets, ribbons and medallions.
